 This handheld picture, which was taken near Times Square, illustrates more than one type of choice. But mostly I was taken by the variety, the colors, the messages, and the curves of the brims. The original picture was enlarged and cropped to emphasize the significant brim messages. The light that day was very dull, so I also had to adjust color and contrast.

I wish you'd cropped out the t-shirts on the right.

A tighter front on crop of just a bunch of hats with their wavy fronts would have been more impactfull and made for a more balanced, even colored picture. The t-shirts on the right, and the slight angle detract from this image.

Wish the crop was tighter on the right... Remember to find your subject and avoid distractions by filling the frame with it.
