This was taken at Back to the Wild, a wildlife rehabilitation center in Ohio. The eagle was hurt when hit by a car and is blind on the other side as a result of the accident. Since the eagle only has one "good side" and the side with the bad eye was facing the sun I had to take this backlit -- so I used fill flash (SB-800). The yellow background is from yellow leaves on a tree lit up by the sun.

I had an eagle portrait in the last freestudy, this one is much nicer than mine was. Congrats on the top ten.
