Beautiful photo, though I do think the composition works better in portrait cropping out the left and right empty areas.
Good detail, quite like the muted colours.

| That is one mean looking son of a gun! Focus is strange cause parts are focused and others are not. Maybe more light, or make the bee really mad and then you want have to worry about it. 7-karmat |

i think it's a littttle bit dark .. needs more DOF (try a smaller aper : )). . .

| Nice job of focus. Color is good and lighting too. The only nit I have is that it seems to be a bit TOO centered. Might have done better if the shot was turned at an angle. DPz |

| What text book did you get this out of, or going to put it in. That's how good it is. Love how clearly his coloring comes through. His nest is great. Drab background, but guess that was hard to pick out. Great 9 for your efforts. PTL |

That looks like a red wasp to me but i could be wrong, dont mater this is a great shot you can even see the markings on him . Hope you didnt get stung lol he gets a 10

| Great close up shot. Perhaps brightening it a bit in post-processing would bring out the colors even more and lighten up the background. |

I think it could be better when you capture the subject about 40 degrees to the right. |
