Forbidden "toys" taste better ;-) And that applies to all creatures who can chew, not just puppies!

chewing on the rug pad- yup, he has a hundred other toys ....

Kind of like a child - buy him a new toy and he would rather play with the box it came in! |

He is very cute, but I bet there will be plenty of destructiveness before he grows up. I don't know if this tip will help you but when Tisa was little we put tabasco on some of the things we didn't want destroyed - like wooden drawer handles, and it did work - better than the bitter apple spray we got from puppy school, and cheaper too. (Of course you can't paint everything with tabasco)

Ahh... I sympathize! Even though my Bugsy has many, toys and chewies, he loves to chew on pens, paper, wires and camera flash cards! I lost a whole day of shots that way! :)

I think they just chew what is nearby. Boone chews on the weirdest stuff: a plastic bottle cap, a half of a movie ticket, a disposable razor!!!
