Challenge: Window View II (Advanced Editing VII)

Location: Frankfurt
Date: Oct 10, 2009
Aperture: f/5

This is a view of and from a window. I do believe it really does meet the challenge. Note that you can clearly see the glass and frame and reflections. I will concede that the view may not be "interesting" as far as it does not involve a large body of water, a lovely wooded view, a sunset or sunrise, or a naked chick. I think it intersting in aggregate, though. But that's just me.

Here's hoping for more than a 4.7, but I won't be shocked if it doesn't achieve that either.

Edited from the small jpeg (with a touch of Topaz), as I haven't loaded the software to deal with the RAW files yet. Shot with -.33 exposure correction and my beloved 10-22 (at 22mm) - not just for landscapes, you know!

So. Apparently no WOW or whatever the frac it is that one needs for a 6. I swear, this really does meet the freakin' challenge. But apparently it is also crap. Or blah. Or who knows what. But what it is not is a decent 6+ photograph.

What you think you shot is people looking out into the big city. But what you donít know is you captured a picture of a Vampire, donít believe me, where is the dark haired girls reflection? As always love it..

As I said before, this was one of my top three favorite shots. There was so much to explore. I loved that the reflection was so clear, and yet you could still see the city. I love the looks on the people's faces. The more you look at it, the more you see. It's not a pretty landscape, there's just so much more story here.

You've been awarded the bluebird award!

Norman Rockwell, The Second Coming in a Contemporary/Banal Venue. Didn't know it was yours, all I could think of was what I just said. The postures are riveting, the verticals well placed ( mild sense of vertigo), and the perspective spot on. This can go in your book.

thats why there is no update button for me for awhile cause people here have their heads up their butts and don't look for the different.

I liked this but started my commenting too late - so no words from me during the challenge :(. My fave part was seeing the people's reactions completed in the reflections. I like how it looks like the outside view has a framed roof over it. I thought it was a cool capture :)

I really love this one! I always love photography that captures the human element in real life rather than ones that look totally staged. For me, this has the interest and charm of a Norman Rockwell 2009 photo :)

this is a great image for this challenge. the topic is "window view" and having viewers makes it a little more special.

I love the blur of the people in the window. Like an alternate universe. :~)
