This is Miz Bea on the left and her daughter, Violet (or "Pretty Vi") on the right. I used B&W only because some people are turned off by albino eyes and I wanted the expression to be appreciated by all ;-)
For those who don't know their story, On April 16, 2005 I brought Miz Bea and her one-day old babies home to foster. She'd been a stray and I knew (and still know) nothing about her previous life, except she got preggers ;-) She immediately made herself at home and seemed to have a crush on the big male IW I had at the time ... she'd follow him around, lay down next to him in the same pose ... they were ridiculously cute together. So early on we decided to adopt her.
The kids were brought back to the shelter to be put up for adoption when they were old enough, but only one got adopted, and I couldn't stand seing them in that little itty bitty cage. So one went to a rescue group and I brought the last two home to foster. They were Snoopy and Vi, and needless to say we ended up adopting them, too. I suck at fostering LOL!
The threesome are now a twosome since Snoopy died, and have spent a lot of time the last few days just snuggling and grooming each other. I had intended to try a posed shot, but this spontaneous one is so much better than anything I could have arranged :-)
Not cropped; just lightened Miz Bea a bit, burnt some stray light spots in the background, dodged eyes a little and then normal PP stuff (contrast, resize, sharpen).
______
ETA: I had a pic of Shane and Miz Bea in the 2006 Pet Portrait side challenge
I need to look for some of the older ones that don't look so contrived ;-)
_________
ETA: Miz Bea ended up dying in November :-( The vets couldn't figure out what was wrong but she declined rapidly right around Thanksgiving. Vi is now an only bunny. She mourned for a few months but has started acting more playful lately. Miz Bea was special ... I miss her. |

This is just a delightful picture, Mary. It is so warm and lovey. It's a nice story about how you came by them. |
