 You can't find a straighter group of people than the Quakers, and their style of building reflects this: absolutely nothing but straight lines :-)

Pretty much straight from ACR... Ran Topaz Detail "Deep Blue Sky" and then a tad of Topaz Detail "Portrait Smooth" so it wouldn't oversharpen. Darkened the sky progressively by using hue/saturation and balancing cyans and blues separately, worked like a charm; but it didn't need much anyway, it was naturally a gradient as I'm shooting up at a steep angle. This is cropped from a full-facade shot simply because it was too narrow for the details to register at 640 pixels, and the cropped version is much richer. But if I were printing it, I'd be printing full frame and large size, it's wonderful.

I've tried "raking light clapboard shots" before on DPC and they always bombed, wish me luck on this one :-)

The colors and the detail are quite simple, yet elegant! Love the colors and the detail. Great choice of perspective. I like this!
