Bottom third of the picture spoils what could've been a great image. Look at the colourful background, also always try and get an insects eyes in a shot (especially wasps!)

Good. Could be much better with a tighter crop to eliminate the out of focus board in the foreground. My eyes keep being drawn away from the wasp to the board. The background is wonderfully oof. Good luck in the challenge. Grayce :-)

I like the background, but not the foreground. I wish the wasp dominated more of the photo.

The angle that this shot was taken, if changed could've eliminated a lot of the blurred foreground. It's pretty good though. Personally, I might've gave it a tighter crop to make the hornet look bigger. - Inspzil

Nice shot. A bit grainly but I like it. Jacko

This would be more interesting (colourful) with the light portion below the insect cropped out.

Yup...another bug not in focus

Tough shot to take...the most life-like of all of the wasp shots I've seen this week. DPz

You outdid yourself on this one. IT is super. Good focus, good specimen. Legs moved a little but that is to be expected some. Would have cropped a little tighter if it had been me. Still an 8. PTL.

Nice. I think if you cropped it more tightly, getting rid of a lot of the white at the bottom, it would give us a better look at the wasp and give your photo some "wow".

Long shutter speed allowed for some motion blur. Although you have the wasp off center, there really isn't anything interesting for the eye to go to.

come on, get closer! it's just a little pin prick! :o)

Nice shot of the wasp, I think he came out in pretty clear focus. the white area at the bottom of the shot is a tad distracting. the background is great. nicely blurred. lighting conditions seem great for the shot as well. nice job. Good luck in the challenge. ~Hbunch7187~
