That is a moth, but can't remember the name off the top of my head. I shot one of them a couple of years ago and did an ID on it through some website. Big suckers about 2.5-3 inches the one I shot.
This is a good angle and great job of getting so much dof with the angle shot. |

Looks like he's sort of hunkered down while you eyeball each other. Those asters are beautiful. How lovely to have them growing wild. |

i think he's a moth from his antennae .. but with the diversity in the insect world it could be anything .. well maybe not a fly !! .. or an ant even .. !! .. or a spider .. !! .. lol ..
its a great shot pat .. love how he seems to be looking right at you .. maybe considering his options .. do i turn slightly and give her my best side, or should i stay just like this . ?? .. love the beautiful flowers you have where you live .. :)
