I was taking macro shots and kaleidoscope macro shots of a blue vase and when I turned my attention to other stuff I lay the vase on the verandah so I wouldn't knock it over and smash it. I noticed how the sun shone through it, so I grabbed some white paper and put it under it. The vase is lying down - I couldn't get a sharp shadow like that with it standing.

It looks like a combination of a painting and photograph. That shadow is awesome. Great image!

The reflection shows the "true" vase within sorta thing - and is quite lovely!

I like this fake-out perspective - you would think the vase is standing at first glance but something in the back of your mind tells you the shadow placement isn't quite right. Very cool look to this.
