Yeah, I love the positioning of the petals and the DOF. Detail is excellent. I would have guessed bee or wasp as well!

I think my favorite part is the petals shooting out in the background. I like when things are just outside the focus point, I can't help it!

I also believe its a hoverfly. A great immitator.

Love the reflection in its eye. The flower supplies a beautiful background for this insect capture. One of my favs so far.

Actually it may be a fly of some sort ;-) Bug ID can drive you crazy with all the things that look like other things.

Great, crisp detail. I don't think you *need* extension tubes, though if you want them I can testify that they're great fun to play with.

This is a nice crisp image - I particularly like the foreground bokeh of the flower in the bottom left of the image. It offers a great canvas to the bee.

I like the sharpness of this image, i also like it is cuz it is a pollinator, we need more appreciation of them in our world, without them we'd have no food!
Anyway great color, angle, and habitat shot.
