PP was:

Resize (no crop);

I really like the effect I achieved with this shot. Letīs see what the voters think!

For Ja-9 and posthumous:
The apple is under the sieve. I stuck the apple stalk on the sieve (to get the macro perception) and then just threw some water to get the multiple apples on each drop, getting the pattern. The apple is iluminated by daylight reflected on a mirror...
The hardest part was to get all the holes with water at the time to shoot...
Thought that was a nice idea and that the shot would get something at the high 5 or maybe some 6... but it seems that the crowd didnt like it as much as I did...
Anyway... thats life at DPC!

Hi from the C Club

you asked for an in depth comment on your shot in this challenge.

First off, looking at your placement, i am very surprised and also surprised at the low score. I thought this was one of the most interesting shot in this challenge.

I think what is hurting this shot is the fact that it is not very abstract. It is an abstract shot, but for some reason most people think of unrecognizable things when they think abstract.

Your post processing is spot on, there is nothing that i can see that i think would improve this shot/ IT is tack sharp, saturations and colours are excellent, good POV and the DOF is very good.

If this had been in the macro challenge I could see it winning a ribbon.

Beautyful picture, BUT, an abstract image is not representing or imitating external reality or the objects of nature
