OUCH .. !!
i looked and looked and couldnt work out how that square could possibly be there .. !!
then noticed your reply to ben's comment .. its such a clever and different take on the challenge .. totally fits as well ..
also an interesting breakdown of votes ..
anyhooooo .. came to see wot amazing art you've been creating lately and noticed 8% on your profile page .. thought my eyes were playing tricks on me at first ..
hope all's well in your world nick ..
caught any big'uns lately .. lol .. !!..:)

ps. i noticed a few brilliant thumbs on your profile page but i'm too buggared to comment right now ..
bought a 2tb western digital a few weeks ago to put all my stuff on so its all backed up and did my first sync yesterday .. two worked perfectly then last night i decided to do my working external disc that has all my dpc, family and work stuff on it .. over 100gb of stuff ..
it was taking a lot longer than it should and this morning i realised it had copied the stuff it was synchronising .. other stuff was pretty annoying too .. anyway .. maybe not the place to write all this but as i said i'm buggared and couldnt be bothered going back to your profile page and sending a pm ..
but the reason i'm buggard is that last night i got up about 6 times to check on the progress of the sync .. thinking it should be finished .. the fact that it wasnt made sleep difficult .. you know with the worry ..
by the way i'm sleeping heaps better than i used to ..
:)
i just read that back to myself .. hope you have a better time understanding it than i just did .. !!

I thought this met the challenge. How many squares do you need?! The pants are framed in a square! The frame itself links the feet to the footprints. The layers of light to dark to light worked out well, yet I can also see why Don called it a jumble.

Did you shoot this through a window?

Thanks Ben, kind of, the square is on a glass balustrade, I suppose you'd call it. It surrounds an outdoor cafe/bar. That's the bottom of the glass edge just above the curb.

hmmm reading your photographer comments now, I never even noticed the footprints you mention. I think this image had potential, but suffered from a bad perspective and needed cropping. Just my two cents, you might like it just the way it is...

Okay, this perfect jumble gets my Posthumous Blue.

If it was black and white I'd focus more on the shapes in the image instead of the colors which in my opinion don't seem that great. I do really like the shapes and the man's legs sitting there but I feel like there is too much space to the left especially with the overblown areas in the top-left corner. It's hard to expose such a contrasty scene. 5.

Very out of the box. Er, well, he is actually IN the box. Both. Neither. I confuse easily. I expect this is getting creamed in voting, but you get a 7 from me for doing an in the box shot out of the box.

Nice, right in the rule of thirds, unsuspecting square here. Not getting the title, but I don't judge too harsh about that, i know its hard sometimes to have a good title. 7.

needs different cropping; it takes to long to find the square and the trousers

OK funny idea, poor execution. Too much asphalt and not enough subject "ie the legs framed by the square"

a perfect candidate for a posthumous ribbon. Interestingly I like it nevertheless.
