The composition and color are nice in this shot. I think it may have worked better in landscape framing, with more ocean and less of the top greenery, but that is my very unprofessional opinion :)

My family lives in Waihi, close to here I guess.... the Coromandel is the most beautiful part of New Zealand in my opinion!

For some reason, this shot feels forced to me - almost as if it were cropped to pick the best elements out of a marginal image. Which is not a bad thing - it's done all the time, but in this case it feels just a little awkward. Having said that, I really like the mix of subtle color and texture. I feel that the image could be a little sharper - as if it's just on shy of being properly focused. Having said that, it does have a certain asthetic quality that is peaceful and attractive. Nicely done.

the exposure is a little contrasty, so you have blown out highlights and very dark areas with no detail up the top
