Ooh, I love this one! I think you were robbed.Love the shadow and the interesting network of branches behind, makes you wonder how the landscape works because there's water behind. Lovely and sharp too.

I am at a loss to know why this scored so badly - I thought it a well taken nature photo of a bird that has natural camouflage, and the inclusion of the shadow was an added bonus.

A neat subject but it gets a bit lost among the branches. Maybe try isolating it more by zooming in and using shallower depth of field.

Bird shots are hard, especially in bright light. Here are my thoughts, FWIW--The tree is distracting and looks like it is growing out of the bird's head. The bird and the ground are similar in color making it harder to see the bird.
