Quintessential you, Nick. Your use of contrasts are always so superb. I really love the middle part of the image being completely in shadow.

A great image, the large areas of shadow and the black suit are a great foil to the sunlit face and hand. Not a particularly strong link to the theme, for me.

Exceptional use of light. Really meets the challenge on several levels such as dark and light representation of life and death and the young man partaking in deadly habit. a powerful portrait, the man looks stressed and trying to regain composure. Love this photo.
