Hi from the CC Club,

Great shot of your boy here, very causal with an air of James Dean about it.

I like that you have done black and white here. First impressions are the fingers on teh right hand side, they look rather large and not connected to anything. Even though I know they are fingers the more I look at them, the odder it becomes. I think a crop on that side may have helped with the fingers and the centered subject.

The background is a little distracting to the shot, maybe just darkening the window sill would have helped nto highlight the background so much.

The face is fairly bright and I like that, but think that maybe a little more contrast in the woodwork to bring out some of the finer details would have made a bigger impact on this.

You are tack sharp and your focus is excellent and you have a gorgeous son!

Your son looks like he's from the fifties. Definitely a classic look to this photo. I gave you an 8.

Sounds like there might be a story behind this. Great casual feel.

Good lines and composition. The pose is very natural too. The background is a tad distracting though, and the lighting on his face is alittle harsh (While I like this effect, the technical junkies may dock you for it). All in all, this photo has alot of potential. I would love to see this shot with the background blacked out or darkened after the challenge. Lastly, going back to the harsh lighting on the face, I wanted to mention that I like it because it draws the viewers attention right to the subject. Just my two cents, overall I think its a good shot...

i dont know...just seems like his whole face isn't in focus. and i think that the window in the background is just a little distracting.
