This image was taken on my trip to Boston. The girl with the umbrella is a friend of mine. We were on our way back from a trip to Tango Mago (a Mexican restaurant) and stopped when we saw this giant puddle. She saw fun, I saw a photo op. She ran inside and grabbed her boots, I ran inside and grabbed my camera. I took around fifty pictures and this one matched the challenge description perfectly. The boots!

Editing included:

1. Curves
2. Hue/Sat adj.
3. Dodge/Burn tool
4. Unsharp Mask

It was a treat to have such great lighting today! =D
Thanks in advance for the votes!

Wow! This is spectacular! If only you could have been a little more to the right so you could crop something like this: yet have only street and sidewalk in the background. The umbrella, kid and reflections are incredible, but your background is so busy.

It still made me say "wow" when I first saw it, however. Marvelous shot!

What a fabulous umbrella. Hope it makes a reappearance in the umbrella challenge.

ya, know I still really love this...have you tried to change it to B&W with de-sat on the umbrella and boots...that would really rock...(mind you this is superb)

Fantastic vividness. I love the overall composition and effect... but you might get squashed challenge wise unfortunately as although those boots are funky they don't seem to be the standout in the shot...

I'm not giving you a really nice vote because i wish there was a closer look at the boots, instead of this nice composition...the umbrella gave a nice touch to the image, but got too much of my attention! The boots and the water would be enough for me!
Anyway...you did a great work, good luck for you!

Nice picture but I feel that the main subject isnt really the boots.

nice colors, but I think you could have focused on the boots a little more, Never the less, a great shot!

I'd like this image more if it was just the shoes in the water.

nice shot, but my focus goes more to the bright umbrella than to the boots. 5

What a gorgeous umbrella!

I can't help but be distracted by how deep that puddle is, heh.
