Heh! Camera set to "film grain" scene mode. Unfortunately, the lovely grain applied in this mode isn't all that apparent at DPC size.

Post challenge: What a very odd score distribution....

Same view, "standard" setting on the camera:

Just saw this in checking out the camera. I love the feel and composition. And if you could find the address of the hair/barleydresser: it is a very cunning do.

Love the texture of the grain, Deb. I bet this would make a beautiful print!

Lovely image, Deb! Bah - you should have printed it out, sprinkled salt & pepper all over it, shoot and submit that - then folks would *see* the grain. ;-)

Grainey Grain! I like the simpleness of this image. Nicely composed.

you beat your average too! I guess neither of us did as poorly as we expected!

I like the field, there's something wonderful about fields of wheat, barley, and of the cool stuff! Although I think I like the other picture even better -- I love how soft the background gets...

No need for grain it is growinig on the stems, the preset in the camera is rather minor for DPC, but congratulations for the high score, the lighting is very good.

fields of grain - i like it! Since you have so much texture there, I don't think you even need the trees and the house in the photo. The grains can carry the photo without it.

I am so made at this picture, the grain couldnt lay in one direction, that line in the back of it would have been a perfect leading line, but over all a good picture

I don't think grain adds anything special to this photo. Had you removed I doubt I would've seen any difference. It's hardy visible. Nice photo though
