After Challenge Notes: This was intended to be my impression of an old-weathered photograph, but the results still leave much to be desired.

I have entered Image Grain challenges twice. The first time I didn't really use any grain added which hurt my score. This time I used too much grain in an homage to aging techniques, trying the effect over-all rather than selectively.

I wish I was a great photographer,...just naturally, but at least if I ever DO become a great photographer...at least I will understand WHY my photography is Great, and how it became so! :)

Wonderful subject, well shot and the grain effect is good. To really make it pop, convert to sepia tone or b/w perhaps.

For me, the grain does only hurts this already below average shot.

Grain is overdone imo - and you should have cropped out the hand on the right.

I'm afraid the grain in this shot just comes off to me as a pattern overlaid on the image, and it does not seem to really help the shot any.

I think B&W would be much more suitable for this entry.
