I don't recall having seen this picture on DPC before. The blown out area is really blown out, thanks to my Ed Clarke camera settings. It's also taken through glass, which helps the freakiness.

Ed really is a bad influence.

Just some curves and then desat, I think.

Took awhile...but she is done...the irony of the image remains. There is fresh creativity to be found beyond the light.

looks very low quality. I wish there were some true black so there would be more contrast

I like the texture of the brick and the wall. I wish the light was more just towards the end in a sort of heading to the light sort of way.

I liked this on my first pass and like it even more this time, whilst the colour version is nice have you tried it in B&W? Good luck, if I were voting I'd have been hovering over the 8 key.

pictures of sidewalks are a dime a dozen. But I don't remember one done this way. I actually think it's quite cool, and as I stare at it while commenting, I like it even better! 8

It meets the challenge well, and I'm not a huge fan of the "into the light" effect here. I might be a little more convinced if the frame was rotated a bit to make the path to the light straight forward.

It's all just too blown for my taste. Perhaps others will see something that I can't. (not voting)

i think you need a more clean foreground to get a good efect with these highlights...

Fascinating image. I like the artistic high key.
