Photos and Noodles

It is, people, just a picture to look at and to consider -for whatever it is. The title provides a context, a sense, if you will, of what the image potentially connotes. It does not, obviously and redundantly, denote a water noodle, as in an illustration.

To put it country-simple, the subject is not just noodles. It is, instead, the convenience and allure of plastics and common toxins or, more specifically, a close-up of a witches' brew laced with polyethylene and algaecides cream-whipped to candy-coloured flavours, emblematic of nearly everyone's summer fun since the fifties. The close-up view, colours and overall treatment affords, I would hope, some sense of tension between forces of both repulsion and attraction.

The title, sans the biblical reference, might as well be "the temptation of man", viz. "temptation".

If only we could look at pictures as objects per se and resist the cramping habit of having to look for a subject (as if it were an isolated object depicted in a photo), there would, lo and behold, be nothing to understand or to get.

There would be a photograph as there are stones, birds, a chair as well as instances of love, grief, sorrow, envy or affection.

just seeing this. I think not knowing the artist (like during voting) makes it hard to interpret. If people knew it was done by someone who is deeper thinker it would be taken as a serious image. otherwise it could have been done by my nephew, the clown, and therefore pretty much meaningless.

Hmmm....."the temptation of christ" (small case letters too). I guess it's over my head but it made me look at it over the standard 5 sec look and vote. I'm just seeing soap suds and I think the pink thing is one of those foam floatees to help beginning swimmers. You'll have to fill us in on the Photographers Comments. Interesting abstracky pic...

I don't think I am artistic enough to get this. It looks like a swimming "noodle" on dirty water.

I'm sorry, I'm just not getting it and how the title relates???
