zed, the final, the exit... choose your door.

This is the one and only e301. Not only that, I'm using the camera settings he suggested.

Taken at the Eastern State Penitentiary. Sorry I didn't contact you, quiet_observation, but it was a spur of the moment thing.

======

Let's clear something up once and for all! When I put a number under Shutter, it means 1/number. So 30 means 1/30 of a second. I do this because I'm lazy efficient. When it's 30 seconds you will see: 30"

I love this. The "knock you over" contrast is great.

30 seconds, or 1/30th of a second? Zen would suggest 30 seconds, and that Ed is very zen-like in his ability to remain motionless.

And of course, along with a least half of Philadelphia, I was on the New Jersey shore.

Cool photo.

Hmmm, I have run over and to try those settings. I feel a mental health day coming on.

Ah ha! So this one is yours. I gave it a 6 because I thought the processing would have benefited by increasing the highlights/shadows and then dropping the gamma which would have preserved some of the detail and given a stronger effect. I loved the idea though...that part of this photo is absolutely PERFECT!

::pout::...I still want a ribbon...haha!

Neat shot, but the lighting seems harsh. Interesting composition.

Nice composition. The black and white and high contrast certainly adds starkness

Even though IMO this doesn't fit the classic definition, the processing, the tile and the scene work....at least for me.....7....BTW, is this Eastern Stae Penitentiary?

I don't mind the high contrast, but quite a bit of it's been blown out. Interesting...
