This is almost all of us on my wife's mother's side of the family. There's a few missing but that happens. We gathered together for her 96th birthday on the 13th. She was not expected to live to see it and continues to surprise all involved with her care.

Up until her fall just over a month ago she still lived alone but when they got her into the hospital they found a softball sized tumor at the base of her cerebral cortex that was bleeding and choking off her life. She was given only days to live. Now this is a lady who defies all odds, twelve years ago she was diagnosed with in-operable cancer and was given the option to let nature take it's course of she could take this little tiny pill that's being experimented with and see if it helps. So here we are all these years later and the cancer comes back and this time they told her that they couldn't do anything at all except to try an injection of a massive amount of steroids directly into the tumor and see if that helps. Well once again she baffles everyone and doesn't she start to show signs of getting better instead of worse. The tumor shrinks up to something that is all but gone and the bleeding stops all together. This is considered a miracle by one and all. Now unfortunately because of where the tumor is and the fact that she fell she has to stay in a wheelchair but all in all she's pretty happy.

She had to come to grips with never going home again and that's made her quite testy but she is slowly getting used to the idea.

Were all just glad she's not suffering and the fact that we were able to celebrate her birthday instead of attending her funeral is wonderful. That being said we'll not be to long before that happens, I'm sure.

All the best and thank you for looking.

MAX!
