There is another shot of this playground in my portfolio that I uploaded before this challenge began... it's a pretty rundown place that is overgrown and seems mostly forgotten. I was meaning to do an SP here this time round but by the time I got there after work the light just wasn't there...
For a tidbit on Japan, the upkeep of local parks and playgrounds such as these are designated the responsibilty of the local area block and hence the citizens that live there... how well they are maintained can give you an insight to the area and people that live there....

Wonderful geometric lines and tones! What a cool place for photography :-)

The photo has a strong design quality. Interesting notes. Maybe in that particular block there are not many, or no children and so a playground is not a top priority.

I love the shine on those chains and the texture on the wood.
Here in the UK we would have a problem with that concept in as far as if someone did some maintenance work on the playground and then
a child was hurt, likely as not the person who did the maintenance would become legally liable... crazy eh.

This is interesting both for the content and the story. I've never seen a piece of play equipment like this before. I also just have this mental image of everything in Japan being very orderly and tidy.
