I went to the Philadelphia Zoo last monday and shot about 6 gigs. I have about 3.5 gigs left. Oh well. It was a good time to go in some respoects...NO ONE WAS THERE...but in other respects, not so good....WHERE WERE ALL THE FREAKIN' ANIMALS. I heard the elephants left but come on...all the birds in the ponds were not out except for the flamingos? Yeesh.

As no one was around, I was able to shoot unencumbered by the usual screaming, shouting, laughing, pointing dirty up the windows people and their kids. No really, it is plain awful sometimes. But the Small Mammal House had only about a half a dozen people or so in it when I was there. I spent the first 45 mintes there and got some decent shots.

One of them was this. I did not remember the name of this particular primate. But he was not there when I first arrived. The keepers let him in and gave hime a Yellow Pages Phone directory to play with. He spent some time leafing through the pages and then found one he liked and proceded to eat it. It was great to watch. The picture came out pretty good, the light was fine and the phone book prop was a great touch, I thought. So there you go. Sometimes you get lucky.

Not sure how this will do, but not too bad I hope.
