Greetings from the Critique Club :)

Composition:

I really liked this shot when I looked through I love the odd number of rocks in the main area (I know there's 4 but the heavily saturated plantation on the main 3 ensure the 4th one is pushed almost out of the shot completely. This give a really nice balance to the picture and the water flowing from the back leads the eye nicely down to the main rock at the front.

Camera Work:

Wow you handheld this for 8s? You will have to show me your technique for that I am terrible at long exposures handheld. Nice use of ND grad and Circ Pol to retain the highlights and that is some lovely silky water in the bottom left corner.

Post-Processing:

Very nicely done, sometimes heavily saturated greens and yellows can detract from a shot to the point it becomes hard on the eyes, but in this case I love it, it adds to the shot without question. My only quibble (and this is not something that could be done in basic anyway) would be those slightly distracting nettles / plants mid section right, I would love to have seen those darkened down a tad - oh for advanced editing :)

My Opinion:

I didn't vote on this challenge as I had an entry in it, but I really like this shot when I looked through, the smooth water, the wet areas on the main stone, the way all lines appear to lead down to that main stone (even the grass on the stone above) just keeps me looking at it - really a very nice capture, congrats on making the top20

Good luck in future challenges!

Mark

Nice greens. Were the plants blowing in the wind? It's a shame they're not sharper.
