 This is my first attempt at a self portrait. I set the timer on my camera and ran around to get into place. This was harder than I thought it would be. I only got a chance to take a few until my light went out (not sure if it just overheated or what).

I am hesitant to post this on here. I never like photos of myself – I would much rather stay behind the camera. The only reason I decided to take a self portrait is because I wanted to play around with my new light some more and I had no one to model for me. I have my share of self-confidence issues, but I have been working on trying to improve many things about myself, and my confidence is one thing I should add to the list. So I thought that maybe if I did a series of self-portraits and actually learned to like my photos, my confidence will increase. We’ll see!

It's a very nice SP. The single light source models your face nicely, and the black BG gives the image a sort of live performance stage look.
I thought it was a live performance shot before I opened the thumb.
