This is the Washington Crossing Bridge. Any of you up on your US history?
George Washington crossed the Delaware River on Christmas Day. The next morning he attacked the Hessians in Trenton NJ (sadly they had imbibed a bit too much on Christmas and were unaware that he was not having fun on Christmas).
This bridge was built at that site. It is a very thin bridge and in fact they have signs posted that SUVs cannot use it (too tight for two to fit side-by-side).

this is an excellent photo of this bridge. The foreground works really well and the reflections on the water look great. Interesting thing about the crossing of the Delaware. It was such a cold winter season that there were great chunks of ice in the river while Washington was crossing with his men. We haven't seen ice on the river at that time of year as long as I can remember and probably quite a bit beyond that too. :)

I agree - nice reflections on the water. Pays off to be at the right spot at dusk!

Lovely shot of the bridge and the reflections in the water. Here they would just call it a one lane bridge and you would have to wait for the bridge to clear in one direction then the cars and SUV's could go in the other direction.

Lovely twilight colors. You'd think they'd make it a pedestrian only bridge.
