 I have NEVER submitted a Free Study Challenge entry this early. NEVER! Not sure how this will do and I may change it out but the way I have been shooting lately, I highly doubt it.

Purchased a planting box of Gazanias from the hardware store around the corner. I do hope I get to donate this one to someones garden. They lik sun and are drought resistant.

Shot with 4 clamp lamps each with a 100w energy efficient bulb. 2 Light above on either side and front and two on either side on the shooting surface. Some ambient room light as well as I shot during the day with the one blind open. Camera on tripod with cable remote release.

Post: Camera Raw adjustments in PSElements 6.0.
Spot edit dust and minute imperfections on the petals.
Crop.
Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast and hue/saturation.
Adjust Sharpness.
Selected two small areas of bright green at bottom right, one on each side of the bottom corner, and burnt the green out. It was just too bright.
Resize.
USM.

It's pretty, and pretty boring. Though the colors are brilliant by nature, in the photo they are a bit flat.
