Thank you all for your votes! I'm actually wondering what is going to happen here as I seem to have the exact same score of 6.5431 as Landon's fine image given third place. I have never seen a tie during my short time here at DPC, it's amazing when you see all those decimals! I wouldn't really care if it was for 4th or 5th place, but a ribbon would be nice and I worked really hard on this :-)

Wow! You guys decided to give me a ribbon with a tie after all. Gosh, I was thinking maybe a sparkler on top of the 4 on my profile page would have been plenty to keep me happy :-) Thanks very much SC!

I have heard of tying a yellow ribbon 'round the old oak tree, but......8>)

Congrats on a fine finish, image, and the ribbon!

(Looks just fine there!)

:) I love it when things work out fairly. :)

I'm sure it was a bit of work to get four on the front page... but this is so cool!

Oh, that is so awesome! Congratulations on your ribbon! I love it that they gave 4 ribbons. One time, my 4th place score had an exact score for the first 4 decimals as the 3rd place ribbon winner, but it stayed in 4th place because out there even further mine fell below. So this makes me really happy that they did this.

And WOW! What a photo! Deserving of a ribbon for SURE! It's FABULOUS!

Sorry you didn't get your ribbon, Brent. I'd have wished you a joint Yellow. This is a very beautiful image and perfect for the challenge. Congrats on the HM though.

The scores are calculated to more decimal places than the 4 they show us, and that's how ties are broken. Lovely shot, truly unusual object. Personally, I'd have thought this *should* be a ribbon, but...

ETA:

Wowza! An honest-to-God ribbon tie! Congrats!

Thanks all :-) I'm thinking now there must indeed be another decimal not displayed that broke the tie. Still, I bet my voters clicked on their mouse buttons harder with my image than his voters did ;-) Ah well, an HM is nice to have too :-)

A BIG CONGRATS Brent!Wonderful image - love the perspective, lighting and colors. I guess the scores go out more than 4 decimal places but I can't believe you missed a ribbon by so little - dang! Still, HM is great too!

eta: Yeah! They gave you the ribbon - you so deserved it!

I love the lighting here. In fact, I love everything about this picture. If I could have rated it I would have given it a very large rating (not to specify which rating.) /snicker
