Not so sure about bg sort of think it's a little too busy.. could have cropped more but then the bud would of been a too stark and difficult to keep the angle..
Anyhooooo, it's fun to try different things..

Appreciate all comments, suggestions, input is extremely helpful..

I can't make up my mind whether this is in focus or not; either way it has a nice soft feel about it.

Lovely photo with very nice details. Looks a bit noisy. Perhaps it could use some more saturation (background more green, foreground more yellow)

Don't know if that's relevant, but maybe if you rotate slightly clockwise, you may be able to crop out the yellow bud in the bg, allowing the subject to stand out just a little bit more. Also, I would try to keep all of the subject in focus (especially the yellow part), helping the separation between subject and bg.
