 Thanks for the comments! Mellie: I did try some 1x, 2x 4x lenses on top of the 100mm, but those shots were extra foggy. This one is just the 100mm and it was extremely headachey to sit on the ground and try to focus this close to one of the smaller ant varieties. But the ants were having an ant war and commanded attention!

I found this one quite captivating. Came back to check the lens. How do you get that close to an ant with that lens? I tried the other day and failed miserably.

LOL @ your title! I think this is more of a macro than a shot of a miniature something, though, since the ant is a full-sized ant. But, that's just one opinion. Not voting.
