Wow, I knew you could use Topaz on layers but I had no idea you could do it on selections. I definitely have to try that.

Did you know you can make selections in photoshop and use topaz on the selection? It helps with stuff like the banding (squiggly lines).

The only noiseware I tried is TA, and by the time I increased it enough to get rid of the squiggles it lost all the definition in the rest of the picture.

I love how there is so much more drama in the sky now. Did you try some noiseware on the original before you topazed it? Not sure if that gets rid of the oily squiggle stuff or not.

The oily banding is a byproduct of TA. On another preset it showed up as blotchy artifacts, and when I tried to use TA denoise it changed to the ringed banding. On the Vibrance preset it started as the oily banding. I could have maybe used blur or something to smooth it out.

What's the weird oily stuff going on over there on the right side? Is that the equivalent of banding in Topaz?
