Based on an old, and somewhat obscure, cowboy/western belief that a hat should never be place on a bed with the open side down. This was thought to allow the "good luck" to spill out. It was probably more correct that it would malform the shape of the hat!

Love the hat. Cropped to close for me. Would have loved a lighter background to make the hat stand out more. Bring it back again lighter and it would have been one of my favorites. Still a 7 but could have been closer to 10

I'm not familiar with this superstition, but that's ok :) The image doesn't really inspire me... I can't see anything unique or 'special' about the presentation... - setzler
