iâ‹…rasâ‹…ciâ‹…ble

–adjective
1. easily provoked to anger; very irritable: an irascible old man.
2. characterized or produced by anger: an irascible response.

Taken with the Lensbaby Composer with double glass optic at F/4. Am hoping this will break the 6 mark but my ugly mug and the second shot of a pipe from me this month might let me down (or its just not as good as I think).

Lighting was achieved by cutting a hole in the base of a 24 pack of beer then pushing a kitchen roll tube through the hole, cutting the toes off a sock and rolling it over the tube to stop any light passing through the join before placing it over one of my lamps - simples!

Editing was no more than a conversion to B&W (Nik Silver Efex Pro)then contrast/levels,then played with USM & NI at various sized images before croping and sizing for submission.

If you look closely there is a heart shape in my right eye, I did play around to enhance it but decided to leave it as shot, I wonder if anybody will comment on it?

Not only held onto the 6, but climbed an extra 0.1! Awesome stuff.

Next time you shoot a famous person, you really ought to put their name in the title ;)

A excellant character portrait that is crisp, sharp and properly framed and composed - a technical success in every way. From an artistic standpoint, it has significant impact being rich with excellant detail demonstrating of the power of properly controlled light and focus and proper use of the zone system to create an artistic impression. Well done.

Low key fits with moody expression. Wish the focus was a little sharper on the eyes rather than the cheeks.

I love the personality you were able to capture in this picture. I do think that the eyes not being in focus detracts, though. Overall, well done

Wow... this is like.. Gregory House's older brother. Which is really to say, there is a lot of character in this shot.

Kind of looks like Dr. House. I wish the eyes were in focus.
