i sent a link to this site mark s johnson photography/tutorials, and some other sites, when someone asked me how i do the processing i do ..
i very rarely use these sites but whenever i take the time to actually see a whole tutorial thru i always learn something that will speed up my workflow ..
anyway .. i grabbed the first photograph i came to with trees to do the "selecting around trees" .. the background eraser tool is brilliant ..
i scrolled down and saw the "toss it on the table" tutorial, so with the same pic of the trees used the general idea of the tutorial to create this .. they used several photographs but i was in a hurry !! ..

it's no great shakes as an image but i thought i'd share with you the excellent site and the tutorials ..

Wow, Roz! Thanks for the link! I'm going to bookmark it and try to learn some new tricks myself. I think this is an excellent photo by the way to show off what you learned. I always love what you do with a photo after the capture. It is something truly amazing to behold!

Thanks so much for sharing the links! And this IS great shakes as an image!!! Love the photo effect of course, but the tree image itself is fantastic, very misty and dreamy with some magic thrown in. I'd like to ramble through those trees :-)

I reeally like this effect. Like digifotojo I am a bit wary about what I visit and download.

I don't know how you guys go into all these sites to retrieve stuff.. it's very interesting but I'm scared to death of picking up some computer virus. Oh well, I suppose that's what happens when you get burned twice.

This is unique Roz! I really like the composition. Why doesn't DPC come up with a challenge for imagery like this?

Love it! I used to know how to do this, funny how that stuff slips away when you're not doing it on a regular basis. Thanks for the link!

it's like a travel guide in threes. it's unlike you to have an image that doesn't say much. i'll just laugh anyway.
