IMO I would have like to seen the tracks go all the way to the end of the tunnel. JMO!

This is a great concept and from a technical perspective, a success. The image is right on the edge of being over sharpened which is a plus. This may have suffered from flash reflection as the silica in the rail bedding material creates a speckled effect similar to hot pixels even though that isn't the problem - its very similar to what you get with snow in that the crystals reflect light at odd angles. From an artistic point of view, it falls just short of the mark of being excellant. A sound entry into the challenge and it should place well.

I think that a slightly lower angle would have done better with this to move our eyes more toward the end of the tunnel rather than feel like we're staring strait down at the tracks. I also think that using different composition, for example have the tracks originate in the bottom left corner instead of the whole bottom of the frame, would help move our eye along the photo better.
