the breaking waves definitely give an impression of texture. it would've been easy to blow out some highlights in this shot, but you have avoided it nicely
The water shapes are lost in an overly busy image that could have been a very interesting entry into the challenge. The textures, while meeting the challenge successfully, are too broad in the sense that they over establish a presence and over power the entire image including the subject. An earlier capture or even a later capture in the splash process would have probaly helped the image tremendosly. A good entry into the challenge, it could have been better and with the right treatment, a top twenty image.
