 Isn't it a hoot? I couldn't have been more surprised when I looked at the images! I've shot many take-offs and landings, but this is definitely a first.

ROFL! That's a great shot :-) And the teacup makes a brilliant prop. I think I need to upgrade my feeders to something more photogenic. Not that I will suddenly attract bluebirds (not enough field-type space for them here) but the birds I do get will look classier ;-)

My first thought was Boing, Boing, Boing hehe Beautiful colors and that cup and saucer are definitely not what you expect to see with birds.

Well, ok, you got me! That is kind of bizarre - you'd expect the wings to be outstretched or at some point between outstretch and pulled in - it's like he's on springs.
