 photograph of katee running and used tierazon to do the fractals ...
info and links for a few different fractal programs

ok .. just for you greetmir
the background - used two images i created with the tierazon program .. added flames .. got the water look using flaming pear flood filter ..

now it gets complicated . !!
did the big ripple using redfield/ripple magic ..
brought photograph of katee into the working file

did a lucisart exposure or whyeth on katee (cant remember which one now) & separated her from the background using a mask ..
i used cs3 - filter/distort/zigzag to create the smaller ripples under her feet and behind her ..
wolken brush for the smoke ..
physicalmagic brush for clouds ..
the splash and droplets were from other brushes ..
created the katee reflection by duplicating katee and flipping her vertically .. i then erased areas of her & made more opaque to match the ripples & and skewed and warped her out a bit to make the reflection look more realistic ..
then did a liqifiy to give the motion trail ..
adjustment layers in color balance and levels ..
flattened ..
then did a nik efex/glamour glow which i erased from katee ..
brought in a ninianlif paper texture for the ragged border ..
