This is Pota... She was in the Greek Resistance during WWII when she was just 15. Took part in the civil war following that. Has been imprisoned multiple times, the latest during the military dictatorship in Greece (1967-74). Toughest person I know. I would like to take more of her when next in my hometown. We stopped by her place with my dad last weekend on the fly...
What a great shot! Before I even read your notes I thought "now here is a woman of substance" - and that she is. Wonderful angle for the shot and her arm out like that seems indicative of the sweeping changes she's seen in her time - and been a big part of. I look forward to more shots of her!
This is very good use of the B&W and the overlay. The point of view as well as the pose are perfect. Just by seeing this image, you can tell that she is good at telling all about her adventures in life.
