when i saw these bullants on the firetrail this morning i thought of the language challenge ..
they were moving around like crazy and very difficult to focus on .. i had a quick look at them on the camera after taking a few shots (you never really know with these macro shots whether you've got the focus just where you want it till you see them on the computer)..
after seeing them in the camera, which only took a few moments, i decided to take more photographs of them so i could be sure i got something with the focus and composition ok .. i looked back to where they'd been and blow me down they'd disappeared ..
its amazing how these small insects can disappear from one moment to the next or if you look away ..
anyway, this is just one of the many ways that insects communicate .. i started processing it but a basic edit just didnt convert to something appealing ..
i dont think this would be classed as an expert edit but for a change i think advanced is enough .. !!
i'm not entering the language challenge ..

My first thought was WTF? It's like a photorealistic painting done with pen and ink and the colored in. You amaze me.

Excellent Roz!! I'm not even going to attempt this challenge but I think you've nailed it with this exceptional image. I see a potential ribbon here.

This has a brutal honesty to it. The insect kingdom is a war zone. Love the processing!

I'm reminded of an Escher drawing with this - and their legs create their own bit of abstract art.
