 It's a Koosh Ball, it was developed in 1986 by Scott Stillinger to be easy for his daughter and son (5 and 8 years old respectively) to hold and throw. It was named after the sound it made when it landed.

koosh ball...my kids used to play with this all the time...they could throw it and not do damage...

A koosh ball, do I win a prize? I used to have a koosh bear, it was so cute. Interesting what you've done with the boarder, but I like the shot and great colors gives it the old forgotten feel.

I used to have one of those as a kid. They were cool...........

Nice idea, nice composition, however I always remembered these are really brightly coloured. Some additional Saturation and contrast on this to make the colours really pop I think would have worked better, rather than these more pale colours.

Taking me back to my childhood.......
