 Shot this one on a beach on South Iceland. Processed it a bit in Lightroom, a lot of cropping which is easy with 5D Mark II. The B/W conversion was done in Lightroom. Noiseninja and USM in Photoshop.

A very well composed shot, but the blacks at the bottom are blocked out, and it seems a bit too soft over all ( though that is an issue of taste); but I'm not sure how this relates to the challenge.

Challenge description: "Create a photo in which your main light source is also your main subject."

It seems to me that the subject of this image is the waves and birds. Neither of them are producing light, so this is DNMC to me. The light is coming from the upper left. *sigh* I'm sorry.

I really can´t see a light source in this image other than indirect light from the not allowed sun. DNMC.

I think you'll get penalised because the subject is not a light source (in the traditional sense).

Unless I am very much mistaken the main light source here is the sun so I don't think it meets the challenge, sorry.

I had to look at this one for a while to get what it was that I was looking at. It lacks important details, but the concept is terrific.

Lovely offshore wind on those crests and the birds make this a wonderful photo. Exposure is perfect too. (But I don't think it is a great subject for this challenge).
