if you're a maschocist and like pain read on .. it's guaranteed to give you a headache.. !!
this is charlie who was a xmas present to me from greg .. we were hoping he was a boy because they're the talkers apparently .. but he may actually be a she .. being very young when we got him/her it was difficult to know wot sex he/she was so we named him/her charlie to cover all bases .. he/she is going thru his/her first moult/molt right now .. (moult is how i would spell it but got the spell check .. molt is american so seeing i'm undecided on everything right now i'm putting them both in ..

i've been trying to get him/her to talk .. saying 'who's a pretty boy' .. how original .!!.
i changed it today to 'who's a pretty bird' .. he/she hasnt showed any signs of talking yet so it mightnt matter wot i say ..
he/she was outside the cage on the top, with the screen door in the background ..
this is one photograph converted to b&w .. increased canvas size .. duplicated layer and flipped vertically .. bit of perspective and warp ..

ps. i use the clothes pins to attach grass and bits of food to the cage .. they're up the top for somewhere to put them when they're not being used .. :)

It usually takes a while, LOL! Mine finally started talking after about 3 years, and he only said one thing. "Pretty Jup, Jup!" LOL! And I never said that to him. His name was Jupiter. I would call his name, or just say hello over and over, or say pretty boy. It's funny how when they do decide to talk they pick what they want to say. It will happen, just be patient. Oh, btw almost forgot - the picture is gorgeous! LOL!

Interesting perspective on the bottom half.
Ages since we had a budgie. We had a few but only one talker. He used to Say "Pretty Bowie" but got vain and threw in a lot more pretties. He also said "Shut up Bowie". Can't imagine how he picked that up.

You know interactive birds can get very attached to their owners, especially if you are constantly doing things with them. They're pretty cool creatures really.

This is very interesting, what you did here with the photo flip - a depiction of an avian Narcissus.

You know what I love most other than the FABULOUS contrast??? The clothes pin. LOL It's so basic and reminds me of my mom hanging clothes on the clothesline when I was little. Charlie is a uni-sex name so it fits boy OR girl. I guess it really doesn't matter what she or he is as long as he is happy. :~)
