 Finally shot something new for this sc! Went to my local town centre on a grey day and took a few shots ...

b&w layer with 50% opacity mask over the front pigeon and 100% opacity mask over it's eye and beak

WOW .. brilliant shot .. love the clarity in his eyes and the rest of the image bleeding off with the focus ... so totally brings my eye to his face .. love the out'v focus birds in the background .. like the way the feathers on his back seem to be rising in the wind .. just excellent .. :)

Beautifully processed and great dof. I love the coloured eye and beak with the rest of his colour subdued but not obliterated. It's a great transition to the b&w background.

From the thumb I thought it was a b&w, opened up to color, just that the color is gray! Love the pinkness to the beak and the detail in the eye.

It just occurred to me last year that pigeons and doves are cousins. You think of pigeons as kind of dirty street urchins yet doves are supposedly sweet and peaceful. :!) I like the detail on his neck and wing.
