 This was taken on my 4x4 trip to Morocco. We traveled from Fes through the High Atlas Mountains into the Sahara Desert and then up the West Coast of Morocco finally to Marrakesh. It was an awesome trip!! There was a convoy of 7 vehicles including the guide vehicle.

We camped in the desert the night before this photo and we are just traveling towards the west edge of the Sahara to camp again before returning to civilization. I stopped our vehicle and held the p&s out of the window. I was so surprised how stony the Sahara was, I was expecting much more sand!

opened as raw, increased exposure, blacks, clarity and sharpness. In CS3 curves layer, levels layer, weak shadow highlights layer, gradient fill and layer mask to darken the sky, increase sat of blues slightly, flatten, resize, usm, border.

Good composition and I like the streak of blue to offset the sand. On my monitor the rocks in foreground seem to be have some sharpening halos.

Looks like a Desert Tours expedition in Jordan. That's lots of miles of nothing but sand, rock, and an occasional sagebrush.

honestly, I would crop the blue off the top and just have the brown area below.. would look more remote

It's not very interesting, but there _is_ a visual appeal here with the rhythm of the 4 trucks (there are 5, but the two on the right function as one for the rhythm).

To be honest, the title lets the shot down as it forces a story on the viewer rather than let them interpret the shot themselves

I wonder where this is - could be a number of different places. An expedition? A military operation? A humanitarian mission? The fact that this is open to interpretation adds to the interest for me.
