3/17/09 Perhaps a Irish orchid?
Post actions
Nice composition. I like the border to draw out the yellow in the flower.

Nice shot! I like Orchid's they just don't like me, I could never get them to flower for me.

Great macro shot here, well done. 7.

I like the dark, dramatic processing. Excellent detail.
Post actions
Nice shot, not as detailed as I'd like, probably due to the DPC size and the composition

Not sure green is the most attractive color, but this shot is very nice. Somehow the greens in nature don't clash, and the accent of white and black give just the right touch.

A prize. Something is unusual here.
Post actions
An unusual choice for a challenge - beautifully photographed. This is a refreshing departure from the typical.

The flower looks like a sink.

what a gorgeous orchid. i love these flowers so much, you captured it wonderfully. i like your crop, and the green background on the right and back but not the left adds a certain essence to this photo i cant describe. beautiful detail on the flower fuzzies:) good dof, the center of the flower looks all the sharper since the front of the bowl is blurry
Post actions
I really love the background - nice smooth texture and rich color.
Post actions
I like the simplicity of the palette. Really focusses me on the shapes and textures of the flower.
Post actions
Beautiful shades of green. Beautiful detail. Its a 10 for me.
Post actions
Very well executed shot, lovely focus and DOF, good lighting and rich colours near perfect
Post actions
Other than my personal taste in not liking the border I do like the photo its self, focus, lighting and composition are great as well as the DOF. well done
Post actions
Nice lighting and color. Good shot.

I love orchids and you made me fall in love with this specific example. Thanks.

Orchids are so amazing. I don't know if I've seen one with a puffy part like that.
Post actions
Nice capture, but I think that the lighting on your subject could use a little more pizazz and contrast.
Post actions
Really like the "green on green" here.
Post actions
Beautiful! I love how you can see the little hairy detail on the petals (leaves?). My one tiny, tiny nitpick is that the way top/front of the flower looks slightly less sharp than the rest, and it hurts the image just a little.
Post actions
The bokeh is really nice, I like that this is against a darker background, it's a nice soothing image. Focus is spot on.
Post actions
Subject feels a little dark, but that doesn't seem to be a metering problem. The composition is okay, and the frame works well enough.
Post actions
very well executed macro. great composition
Post actions
very pretty, nice detail and love how you blurred the background 9
Post actions
Great detail - well done.
