Very nice low key photo; this certainly has a story to tell with that background. Is the child moving away from something or towards the distance? What is the relationship between the two? This asks many questions and makes me want to learn more about the subjects, and to me this is what works.

This is excellent. My first reaction (as I seeded this into my "bump" group on first pass) was that it was close, but that the murky processing had failed the image. I don't think that any longer. I think if you processed it conventionally the parallax would dissipate. It's a powerful, and timeless, shot. Well done and bumping. 9.

I remember seeing this somewhere before... only I can't remember where. This is superb. The composition is great, the sepia tones perfect, and that lighting gives the whole image a very powerful feel. Plus, the story it tells, between the man and the child, is fascinating.

Great shot! Perhaps the white clouds could do with a tad more contrast to really boost this, but still a super shot. 8

This picture has a little bit of an apocalyptic tone to it that I like. Then again, maybe I've been playing too much Fallout 3 lately and am just impressing that on it... Regardless, I like it. :)

The first thing I notice about this pic is how dark it is. But after taking a moment to let the rest come out, I really like this. Especially the two small silhouettes near the shoulder of the kid.

Although rather dark and murky, there is something very nostalgic about this shot. It feels like the adult is in a contemplative, introspective mood and the child is carefree and unaware.
